With expertise in addressing a range of behavioral challenges, I support parents with children of all ages manage behavior at home effectively. I work with families to develop structured routines and positive habits that promote consistency, independence, and a stable home environment, fostering both immediate and long-term growth.
Individual Therapy
With training in various therapeutic modalities (including behavioral, cognitive behavioral, and play therapy), I provide tailored support for children from preschool through college, promoting both personal and academic development. My specialties include but are not limited to, social skills, ADHD, selective mutism, anxiety, grief, and a wide range of school-related challenges.
Support at School Meetings
Whether a parent is preparing for a routine teacher discussion or navigating a more complex IEP meeting, I offer expert support by attending, actively participating, and collaboratively advocating for the student’s needs. My goal is to ensure that the child’s strengths and areas for growth are clearly communicated and fully addressed.
School Observations
Through structured observations, detailed teacher reports, and systematic data collection, I gain a comprehensive understanding of each child’s unique skills and challenges. This approach pinpoints areas where additional support or targeted interventions will be the most beneficial, ensuring that each recommendation is carefully adapted to promote their success.
Evaluation Review
Evaluations can often feel overwhelming for parents, making it challenging to determine the best course of action based on the findings. My goal is to help parents understand the results and work collaboratively to identify the most effective ways to use this information to support their child’s needs, both short and long term.
Executive Functioning Support
Students often struggle to manage workloads and stay focused, making it difficult to maintain balance and well-being. To support students in overcoming these obstacles, I offer individualized strategies to help them build positive habits, develop effective coping skills, and establish lifelong organizational skills for independence.
Review of NJ School Programs
I am available to review educational plans and accompany parents on school visits to assess the suitability of various programs and schools for their children. I aim to help parents identify a placement that aligns with their child’s unique needs and interests, fostering their academic success and personal growth.
Collaboration with Other Providers
Maintaining a cohesive, team-based approach can be challenging when children receive support from multiple professionals, such as doctors and other therapists. I facilitate clear communication among providers to ensure the child’s goals are met and progress is sustained.
Professional Development/Teacher Training
I provide consultation to school administrators and educators in areas such as, but not limited to, selective mutism, ADHD, bullying, and classroom behavioral management. For those seeking professional training on critical educational topics, I offer tailored support to strengthen staff understanding and effectiveness.
